This washed Colombia La Gaitania is an Andy’s favourite in our Not So Fruity range. It delivers the perfect sweet cup year after year. This coffee lot undergoes a meticulous washed process, starting with careful hand sorting to remove any faulty or under- ripe cherries. The coffee is then de-pulped and thoroughly washed to remove the mucilage. Afterward, the beans are placed on raised beds to achieve the ideal moisture content. Gaitania is a village located in the Planadas municipality in thedepartment of Tolima. Planadas has a story that contributed tothe charm of their people and of the department itself. It was aregion in which political prisoners were sheltered from theLiberal party. Over time both parties, Liberales andConservadores, established a good relationship consequentlyleading to the famous kindness of people from Planadas to bewell-known throughout the country.
